Okay, I think I have my mind made up. This is the one I will bring home my new baby in. It is Old Fashioned Baby's Emma smocked dress. I love the sweet lace and soft pink color of the baby pink pique.
I am in love with the delicate look of these sleeves. Aren't they just the sweetest thing ever?
Here is the yoke embroidery and the smocking. It really didn't take that long to do it. It is so small. I loved doing those sweet bullions. I used floche for all the smocking. I love doing bullions with floche. They end up so smooth and perfect every time.
This pattern went together so well. I can see making more of these sweet dresses. It just makes me smile to look at it. I am getting so excited!!!
Piper that is just the sweetest dress!! Not too long now.
ReplyDeleteOMG...it is precious, but I bet it might just be too big for that little peanut. Hope not! I'm counting the days with you! Hugs.....
ReplyDeleteSo very sweet and delicate. Only thing missing is the baby -- but not for long!
ReplyDeleteI love pink dresses on baby girls!
ReplyDeletebeautiful little dress Piper. So sweet and delicate
ReplyDeleteI was just going through stash the other day and was thinking of pique for that version of the dress. You did a great job and bullions are easier with floche.
ReplyDeleteIt's so delicate so sweet! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exquisite dress, Piper! All of the sweet baby things you have made are just lovely but this one is outstanding. It will be just perfect for a 'coming home' dress and for portraits, too. Lucky baby! (Lucky mommy, too!) Hugs, Karen
ReplyDeleteThe dress that makes your heart "sing" is the perfect dress to bring baby home!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, you know I love this! She will be a vision in pink. You have done a fantastic job of sewing a precious layette for this baby. Enjoy your last few days that only you can spend with her.
